  It's very odd that this is still listed, since it closed thirty years ago and was replaced with the upscale Hotel Des Deux Iles. I stayed at the Olinda in 1973 when the rooms were 9 francs -- about 2 dollars -- a night. No elevator, one not-so-clean bathroom per floor, tiny cramped rooms and inch-thin mattresses, but it was heaven. I've since stayed at the Hotel Des Deux Iles, which costs more than one hundred times as much, but isn't one hundredth as much fun as the Olinda was in its day.
