  Service is not great and the store is usually a bit of an unorganized mess but you're not going to find a better selection of hardware supplies, tools and services all in one location in paris.

  Fantastic place. I bought my girlfriend here a present for her 30th birthday and a drill. Great pain au chocolat!

  I've been to the Castorama on the Blvd Grenelle, which a client described to me as the smallest Casto in Paris. That place is a palace compared to the location at the Place de Clichy. I live nearby, and convenience goes a long way. But despite the chaos, the occasional long lines at the registers, and the stuffy warmth, I have generally found what I need. (I did direct someone recently to find what they sought in the basement at the BHV. I've not been there in many months — over a year, let's say — do it might not be the sight to behold that it once was.) Quality? That's not much of a question anymore as nearly everything offered at Casto is a commodity. Even the wood is the same as I get from my regular lumber yard, although much more picked over.
