  Nice location near the bus/train station and not to far from the old Port of Marseille. The place is an old house, with lots of stairs (I stambled on them a few times in the common area) but for me it wasn't a real problem. Bed was enough comfortable, toilets were enough clean. There was a kitchen with appliances, although I didn't cooked anything. The only thing I could recommend would be put some shelves and power outlets near the beds. I would stay in vertigo hostel again if I come visit Marseille again

  Really quite surprised to see such good reviews here. There is nothing positive that stood out to me about this hostel, aside from the proximity to the train station. After many hostel stays, this may be my least favorite ever. Whole place felt old and dated. No ac which meant open windows were required for fresh air at night. Room was filled with insects my whole stay and sleep was inconsistent from street noise. Only one shower worked in my room and I don't think the bathrooms were cleaned at all during my stay. Staff is very strict over no outside alcohol policy. Would not recommend to anyone I know.

  Positive Rezensionen sind genug vorhanden,brauche also meinen Senf nicht dazuzugeben.Negativ:die Bäckerei an der Ecke hat viel zu gute Leckerchen,gar nicht gut fürs Budget!Schöner Innenhof,Horst Lichter würde alles mitgehen lassen! und und.....mir fällt nichts mehr zum Lästern ein...Je reviens sehr gerne...auch wenn Leipzig wieder.....

  Gorgeous hostel, kept very clean. Good location close to the train station and short walk to the centre of town (harbour and shops) as well as in between attractions such as the Notre Dam and fountain. All the staff we met were helpful, friendly and welcoming. The other guests were also friendly and good company, lovely courtyard and having a bar was a nice touch. Only downside is breakfast was not included and the room was a bit chilly at night.
