Typical sncf the rer trains delayed more than one hour without informing anyone in english. When you ask the staff they send you back to the same train which hasnt departed for one hour only then to be informed the train is broken down or is not running because tgey have no staff. Nice!
It may not be the best station in Paris, but it still beats nearly any station in the US for ease of access. One of the waiting rooms has a book swap--maybe other stations have this in France, but it's a nice touch.
Toilets too old and battered to pay 70c for. Stopped at the very overpriced caffé ritazza. My latté tasted foul and service was slow. The station just feels grubby and tired, unlike gare du Nord from where we have just come from.
