  Superbe lieu, superbes expositions, temporaires ou permanentes, qui plairont aux plus jeunes et aux autres. L’architecture est splendide, étonnante, singulière, sublimant la vue sur les alpes ou sur Fourvière. MAIS ! Si vous êtes avec une poussette ou en fauteuil : RIEN N’EST PRATIQUE. Le parking est loin, il faut traverser 5 passages piéton minimum pour arriver au musée (a noter qu’il est cher aussi : 0,60€/15min si on pense à valider son ticket au musée, sinon le double). Pour entrer dans musée avec une poussette, il faut passer par le sous sol, il n’y a que deux ascenseurs, petits et étroits, (pour bcp de monde et 6 étages). Si on ne prend que les ascenseurs alors on rate une partie du spectacle qui est dans le hall, avec ses courbes et sa hauteurs majestueuses. Bref, dommage !

  Magnifique musée, nous l’avons fait en famille, gratuité pour les enfants. Ils ont d’ailleurs adorés autant que nous les parents. Personnel très accueillant Je conseil !

  An August visit to the new Confluence Museum revealed many shortcomings in access, the architecture, and interior design. It was a typical summer day in Lyon – clear, sunny sky with temperatures in the 30oC to 35oC range (85oF to 95oF). ACCESS My wife is physically limited in her movement, so we drove directly to the museum with the intention of dropping her off at the entrance. The problem with this idea was that there is no drop-off point. We found instead that there is a busy six-lane road in front of the museum, and between the museum and the road there is a tramway station and two open railway tracks. We gave up on the idea of dropping my wife off, and proceeded to what we thought was the museum parking lot. By following signs to Confluence Parking my wife and I ended up in a large, pay lot. It was only later when we in the museum did we discover that there were two Confluence parking lots, one for the museum and one for a close-by commercial center of the same name. We knew from the museum's website that we should have our parking ticket stamped on entering the museum to benefit from a 50% reduction in parking fees. Only when we were in the museum and attempted to have our ticket stamped did we learn that we were in the commercial parking lot of a shopping center which had the same name as the museum. At no time had we seen signs to the museum lot. The three adult family members in a second car gave up trying to find the museum parking lot after 15 minutes of driving around, searching. Luckily they came across a parking spot on a side street, a 10 minute walk to the museum and did not make the mistake of leaving their car in the commercial lot. It seems that the museum lot is located behind a gasoline station at a nearby cross road. From the commercial lot, we took to a tram one stop to the museum tram station, the same tram station which had blocked us earlier from accessing the museum. We were then faced with many other problems including steep stairs up to the entrance, inadequate air-conditioning in the entrance hall and cafe, no benches or chairs anywhere on the exhibit floors, no automatic/push button doors, washbasins which were impossible to use without guidance, display cabinet bases with projected out and caused people to stumble, etc.
