Well, I am going to be fair and honest. This student accommodation was a nightmare in my whole student life. While there is an interesting student atmosphere with awesome guys from all over the world and mostly Europe, there are various serious problems that I think everyone should know before taking a decision. This experience could have definitely changed my mind in renting such a place. First and foremost, the (few) good points about the residence: - It is situated just in front of the campus of University of Angers. So, you can get to your class just on time. It is near to some private schools as well. - You can get to a Super U supermarket in less than 5 minutes walking. - In comparison to the city of Angers, that part of Belle-Beille where the residence is situated, is literally in the middle of nowhere. But this will not be a problem since it is near to the bus stations of the most frequent lines to the city center and a big commercial center, l'Atoll. - A good international student atmosphere which is thanks to the people living in it. - Low rent price (almost 250€). However, I am sad that I experienced a way longer list of inconveniences as follow: - The reception is awful. You can imagine getting back home and you find yourself with a receptionist who asks impolitely about your identity. And this happens several times during your stay. Even if it is their duty to taking care about the security, I thing it should be done politely and in a good manner. - Radiators! Needless to say that I barely know anyone who did not get sick at least once with the mediocre situation of the heating system. Not only they are turned on too late (by end of October), they actually don't heat well and have not a properly working thermostat either. - As it is mentioned in the room contracts, "you have not the right to use a personal heater or anything that produces heat and uses electricity a lot". It is also reminded that "the stuff have the right to visit each room unexpectedly without keeping your posted on"! So, take care of your belongings. It's better to even forget about a small heater, for getting warm, or a small boiler for boiling water for a cup of tea. The stuff are such a douche if they find you with one. - Extremely tiny surface. Each room has an approximate surface of 9 m². There is a bookshelf, a tiny bed, some wooden cabinets and a prefabricated plastic bathroom (shower and toilet). - No guests. If you have one, for a limited number of nights, you should inform previously the reception so that you sign some documents. That is really not fun! - Limited opening hours for the kitchen. The kitchens are equipped with a microwave, two big tables, two sinks and two cooking plates. Generally, not too clean. The building is not really made for noisy parties. Alcohol is strictly forbidden. However, there is a salon just in the ground floor with a billiard and two table footballs. And finally, don't forget to apply for your CAF as soon as you get your accommodation. As a personal idea, I recommend you getting a studio in other residences rather than passing your days nervously in that prison-like residence. As in 2017, there were a lot of complaints about the reception and the director of the residence. I don't know if Crous de Nantes have taken our complaints, by phone and by email, into account for creating a better ambiance for students.

Honestly, I don't want to give any stars to this place. Ofc, the people are great, and the good times, and all, but as a residence, as a place to live - this has been the worst student accommodation experience in my entire life (in terms of dorms). I don't even know where to start. How about, the kitchen that closes at 11 p.m., and if you study at night or you're sick and you need a warm drink or sth (which come on, we are all adult people who know how to manage their time for themselves) - there is no way for that stuff, sorry about that. Or the beautiful radiators, which you cannot regulate, and they just magically change the temperature all by themselves? Btw, if you want to bring an additional heater to your room or an electric kettle - well, officially, you are not allowed to. So there. Something of my personal favorites - the washing machines. Just 2 of them, AND always be prepared for the change of rules - like suddenly, the only possible payment method is via a contact-free bank card, with no other alternatives available, regardless of numerous student who very well need them. BTW, the card thing doesn't work so well either, and quite a few people ended up with their cards blocked. All in all, yes, the place is clean, and there are game rooms, and a library, and a piano, but come on - people don't necessarily feel like enjoying those things when they do not have their basic needs met properly - like doing laundry or using the kitchen whenever you feel like it, or staying warm when you're cold. To me, this dorm is just a huge shame, especially for the amount of money the students pay. And another charming detail - there might be people coming into your room when you are not there. So keep that in mind. I felt like it was important to share these thoughts, because I believe people need to be aware of what they are getting into before they decide to move in here. Or at least, you can do your own research and see what works for you, what is good and what is bad. Hope this was of help to someone. Cheers to all.

Le super U est juste a coté, la bibliothèque, l arrêt du bus ainsi que les universités ... Les cuisines sont bien équipées , la salle de jeu est géniale aussi !
